VitaPortal, a major Russian provider of online and mobile health solutions, and a company launched by Fastlane Ventures, Russia’s leading investor and operational partner in online businesses, has closed a $2M Series A fundraising round led by Prostor Capital, one of the most dynamic Russian investment funds in which it has been joined by notable angel investor Esther Dyson.
VitaPortal’s mission is to inspire people to live a healthier lifestyle. To do so, VitaPortal provides online and mobile tools for healthy living, as well as content for Russian-speaking physicians. All published materials and tools undergo a rigorous medical review process conducted by certified physicians. VitaPortal now offers more than 30 health measurement and personalization tools, which have been used by more than 1 million people during the past six months alone.
The funding will help VitaPortal to continue to develop user-profile-based personalization technology, including online health management tools and physician and hospital ranking system, to help people make informed choices about their own healthcare.
